6 Days Casablanca to Marrakech Desert Trip

We pick up you from your hotel/airport and we will explore Casablanca’s main attractions and cultural places, including the great Hassan ll Mosque. After lunch, we head to Fes via Meknes. Meknes is a former imperial city in Morocco. Our private Morocco tour continues to Volubilis, to visit the Roman ruins. We continue to Fes and we spend here this night in the local hotel/Riad.

After breakfast, the day will be devoted to the discovery of Fez, the oldest imperial city and old town, founded by Idriss II, the radiation center of the Arab-Muslim culture: The Mosque of the Andalusians, tanneries, the district potters, Medina. Lunch at a palace in the Medina. The afternoon continues to visit: Hispano-Moorish buildings, the Medersas, instead of Nejjarine., you’ll visit the new city for a drink. Overnight accommodation is in your Riad.

After breakfast you’ll leave Fes traveling towards Ifrane, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, Stop in Midelt for lunch. Continuation to Erfoud along the Ziz valley by a successive series of fortified villages whose architecture announced that pre-Saharan oases.

Arriving at the dunes of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi), accommodation at the Kasbah. stopping for panoramic views along the way. Arriving in Merzouga in the late afternoon, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before checking in to your accommodation. Overnight in Hotel/Riad.

After breakfast, we will make the desert tour through the dunes oases of Merzouga. We will visit the village of Khamlia and explore the desert area deeply. Then we ride camels to reach the desert camp. We climb a high dune to watch the sunset in the dunes. Tonight we spend in desert tents in the dunes. We will enjoy traditional dinner at the campfire.

After early waking up we watch the sunrise in the desert and then we ride camels back to the village. After breakfast in the hotel/riad, we head to Rissani, then Tinghir, and Todra gorges. Today is the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. We continue our private Morocco tour through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. We spend overnight in a local hotel/riad.

Today we’ll set off through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. Kalaat M’gouna is called “the rose city”, where we may purchase the rosewater, a famous local product. We continue to Skoura and Ouarzazate, called “the Hollywood of Africa”.

We may visit the local studio, used in movies such as The Mummy, Gladiator, and The Last Temptation of Christ. Our private Morocco tour continues through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass before we arrive in Marrakech.
