What to expect from the 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
Today we start our 3 days Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour by driving towards Tizi-n-Tishka in the High Atlas mountains. We will have short stops to take some photos during the trip. We will visit the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimony.
It is also a famous place for a number of movies shot here. Then our private Morocco tour continues visiting the valley of Roses which is known as the Festival of roses. Then we will arrive in Dades Gorges where we will spend this night in a local hotel/Riad.
Today we drive towards the Merzouga desert, known for the highest sand dunes in North Africa. We will visit Todra gorge, a huge canyon near Tinghir, then we continue to Erfoud and Rissani.
We continue to the Merzouga desert, from where we start our camel ride into the desert. We will spend the night in the Merzouga desert camp in the middle of the Sahara desert. We will enjoy dinner at the campfire and we sleep in desert tents.
After an early breakfast in the dunes, we ride our camels back to the hotel in Merzouga village. We take shower, and then we drive to reach Draa valley, Agdz, Ouarzazate. We reach Marrakech in the evening. This will be the end of the best Morocco tour.
