Depending on your flight arrival time, there may be an opportunity to explore part of the Marrakech Medina, stroll through its lively streets and discover the atmosphere of the Red City.

Overnight in Marrakech.

After breakfast, our support vehicle will collect the group and bicycles from Marrakech before heading towards the High Atlas.

The journey takes us through Azilal and into increasingly dramatic mountain scenery, eventually reaching the spectacular valley of Zaouiat Ahansal, surrounded by impressive rock walls and rugged peaks.

Tonight's accommodation is Dar Ahansal, one of the most comfortable options in this remote valley. Built using traditional stone and adobe, this charming guesthouse combines local architecture with spacious rooms, private bathrooms and Wi-Fi.

Its terrace provides the perfect setting to admire the peaks of Jbel Aroudan and enjoy the sunset over the mountains.

Overnight in Zaouiat Ahansal.

Distance: 56 km | +1,300 m / -1,100 m

Today brings one of the most spectacular stages of the expedition.

We leave Zaouiat Ahansal and begin a challenging climb towards the Ilissi and Tirghist passes, reaching approximately 2,640 metres above sea level.

The effort is rewarded with breathtaking views across the High Atlas. From the high passes, a long and rewarding descent takes us towards the famous Aït Bouguemez Valley, also known as the “Happy Valley.”

Our accommodation for the night is Adazen Ecolodge, a beautiful mountain boutique hotel offering a high level of comfort. The property features quality rooms with private bathrooms, a restaurant serving excellent local organic food and panoramic views across the valley.

Another excellent premium option in the same valley is Ecolodge Dar Itrane, known for its sustainable approach, traditional architecture and welcoming atmosphere.

Overnight in Aït Bouguemez.

Distance: 43 km | +500 m / -600 m

Our final cycling stage takes us deeper into the rural landscapes of the High Atlas.

Leaving the Aït Bouguemez Valley behind, we ride through traditional villages, cultivated fields and ancient adobe houses, following mountain tracks towards the spectacular Abachkou Canyons.

The route crosses striking red-earth landscapes and dramatic rock formations, creating some of the most photogenic scenery of the entire expedition.

Along the way, we pass through small mountain villages where traditional rural life remains closely connected to the surrounding landscape.

We eventually reach Imi n'Ouaqqa, where our support vehicle will be waiting for the group.

From here, we continue by vehicle according to the final transfer arrangements.
